Individual subject-knowledge taught in schools finds application in the real world as a combined entity. International Design Olympiad (IDO) is the platform for young minds to embark on a Creative Journey to explore the applications of knowledge gained in school and apply it to solve real world challenges.
Students from 5th Grade to 10th Grade, independent of school board, can participate. International Design Olympiad consists of 3 rounds where the students have an opportunity to express their creative hunger!
Creativity is essential for the 21st Century in every field and occupation. It is inherent to all of us and must be cultivated.
Managers, owners, entrepreneurs, businessman and employers are always looking for creative and innovative people to come aboard on their team.
In order for the students to have the right foundation to be future-ready, students must be introduced to the creative mindset at a young age.
Through this course, students will learn to develop a mindset of creativity and its application in the real world.
In nature, a given challenge is full of opportunities. If we are looking for one solution we will get just one. On the other hand if we explore with an open mind, we may find multiple solutions and choose the best, based on the need. A solution-based approach is a mindset which can be delivered through design thinking processes. A workshop on design thinking would answer the following questions...
